Obtained a degree in Music from the University of Lancaster in 2001
Qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2006
Passed the Securities Institute Certificate in Corporate Finance in 2009
Passed the Diploma stage of the ICAEW Corporate Finance Qualification in 2009
BACKGROUND
Having graduated with a Music degree in 2001, Dominic decided to keep music as a keen hobby and, having always been a strong mathematician, embarked on a career in Accountancy.
His first appointment, in 2002, was with a small 4 partner firm in the city. Three years later Dominic moved on to join the Business Services Group at Haslers and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant shortly after.
After a period of carrying out one-off assignments for the Corporate Finance team, Dominic moved into the department full time as an executive in 2007 and was promoted to manager in 2009.
EXPERIENCE
While in the BSG department Dominic audited companies of various sizes, operating in a wide range of sectors which included leading the audit of an AIM listed oil and gas exploration company.
With the corporate finance department, he has worked very closely with Partners and leads certain transaction elements.
Dominic´s experience in this time has included advising on MBO´s, sales, acquisitions, fundraising as well as performing due diligence and creating bespoke financial models.
